CAREGIVER JOBS IN GERMANY
EuProgres is a family-run business founded in 1993 in the Slovak Republic. Slovakia is a member of the European Union (EU) and the Schengen Zone. EuProgres employs senior caregivers in private families in Germany, with approximately 200 caregivers from various countries, including Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Serbia, and Ukraine.
Within the European Union, the movement and stay of workers are permitted. As Slovakia is a member of both the EU and the Schengen Zone, EuProgres employees are legally allowed to work in Germany under a caregiver's work permit called the European Form A1 (E101).
Caregiving work involves taking care of a senior person, assisting with daily needs and activities, and helping with household maintenance. Caregivers receive free accommodation, food, and internet in addition to a monthly salary and holiday bonuses. Health and social insurance is provided as well.

PLACEMENT PROCESS
WORKING CONDITIONS

Free: accommodation (private room), meals, Internet.

Salary: 1 550€ - 1 850€ net per month. The salary depends on the German language proficiency, work experience, number of clients, and client's health condition.

Length: unlimited, you can work in Germany for as long as you wish.

Employment Contract: caregivers are employed by Euprogres Slovak Republic under an unlimited employment contract with an eligibility to work Germany. The applicant will receive a temporary residence and work permit for Slovakia upon which a caregiver work permit in Germany (A1 E101) is provided.
WAGES & INSURANCE

EuProgres pays the salary to the caregiver's bank account.

Payment is made between the 1st and 25th of the following calendar month.

Payroll slips are sent via email on monthly basis.

EuProgres covers health insurance and all payments required by the Social Insurance and taxes.

GERMAN LANGUAGE

The applicant should be able to communicate in German.

If you do not speak German, we will refer you to an online course that focuses on essential communication phrases needed for caregiving work.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Register HERE (free of charge), our Coordinator will conduct an online interview in German language.

The immigration process will commence to arrange necessary permits.
-
Should the applicant wish to accelerate the process, they can start the temporary residency application simultaneously with the German course. The applicant will be interviewed prior to applying for the D National visa that grants entry to Slovakia. In such cases, the applicant bears responsibility for any paid fees (260€) whether she passes the German test or not.

STEP 1 Employment Application
EuProgres submits an employment approval application with respective authorities.

IMMIGRATION PROCESS
STEP 2 Temporary Residence Application
EuProgres submits an a temporary residence application with respective authorities.

Copy of a Criminal Record Certificate

From the country of which the applicant's citizenship.

Plus, from countries where the applicant has stayed for more than 90 days within the last 3 years during any six consecutive months.

Plus, from countries where the applicant held visa from for the duration of at least 3 months

The criminal record must be apostilled and officially translated into Slovak by a slovak certified court translator. Upon request, EuProgres can arrange the translation with a translator in Slovakia who charges, 60€.

Time from submission of the application: approx. 120 days, the process may take longer in some cases.

STEP 3 National D Visa Application at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic:
The Applicant arrives in Slovakia.
The applicant will apply for a National Visa D at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic.

Time from submission of the application: approx. 10 days and validity lasts 90 days. Upon issuance of the visa, the applicant will travel to Bratislava, Slovakia. The arrival is in Vienna Airport, Austria (50km from Bratislava).
CARE GIVER JOBS IN GERMANY - REGISTRATION
IMMIGRATION PROCESS
STEP 4 Arrival in Slovakia:

During the pre-scheduled appointment at the Foreign Police in Bratislava, Slovakia; the applicant will provide fingerprints and passport photographs.

The applicant will undergo a medical test.

Upon issuance of the residency permit card (2 - 7 days), EuProgres will arranging a transportation to Germany and provide A1 E101.

The permit is valid for 12 months and is renewable.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
What type of visa will I receive?
We will arrange work visas and residence permit in Slovakia. Based on the A1 E101 work stay permit, you will legally work in Germany.
Long-term / Permanent Stay: People who have been holding a legal residency in Slovakia for at least 5 years, may apply for a long-term / permanent residency.
Citizenship: To obtain Slovak citizenship, a person must have an uninterrupted permanent residence in Slovakia for at least eight years.
What is the validity of health insurance?
Health insurance is valid in the EU countries only. If traveling outside the EU countries, it is necessary to obtain additional commercial insurance for the duration of the stay.
It is valid for the length of the employment.
As well, your social insurance will be covered.
Is working in Germany legal?
Yes, working as a caregiver in Germany, employed by EuropaProgres in Slovakia, is entirely legal.
All caregivers in EuropaProgres-Slovakia have unlimited employment contracts.
Caregivers working in Germany comply with valid European legislation, evidenced by the European Form A1 (E101).
Can I work on German permit and receive German residency?
Philippinos are eligible to apply for German residency and citizenship after several years. It is long and complex process.
Work experience and good knowledge of German language that EuProgres employees will attain can help them in this process.
What duties will I perform?
Full-day care for the client in their home;
This may include assistance with day-to-day duties including getting up, going to bed, sitting, walking, dressing, assisting with eating, taking medicine, personal hygiene, taking showers, going to the toilet, meal preparation, and shopping for the patient.
Spending leisure time with the patient (reading, going for walks) and household chores are part of the duties.
What tasks will I not perform?
You will not be required to conduct any medical related tasks including;

Attend to wounds

Administer injections or enemas

Measure blood pressure and pulse

Collect blood

Treat bedsores and wounds

Feed the patient via a tube

Replace a catheter
These tasks are performed by medical staff.
What are the working hours and vacations?
Working hours are not predetermined.
Tasks are performed at home as needed and according to the client's condition.
You are entitled to one day off within a week. Most caregivers take few hours off each day.
Usually, after the first year of employment, you are entitled to one month of leave. EuProgres will continue to cover social and health insurance. Kindly notify the EuProgres Coordinator at least one month prior to a planned leave. If you like, you can work in shifts: 3 months of working + 1 month off (unpaid).
If I have a problem, will I receive help?
Yes, our caregivers receive continuous support and assistance in resolving issues in the family.
We provide counseling and assistance throughout the employment period.
In case of an emergency, we have an 24-hour Emergency Help Line.
In the case the family needs to be change, we strive to secure a continuous employment by replacing the family and organizing transportation from one family to another.
